Support Services
Walking with our clients,
every step of the way
Our programs and services provide safety, stability, and the practical support our clients need to regain their dignity and take control of their lives. We take a Recovery-Based Approach, which means that each client can set their own goals and feel empowered to make their own choices to change the direction their lives have taken. Participation in any of our programs is always voluntary because we believe everyone has the right to control the course of their own life.
Access Our Services
Our services can be accessed through a referral system, based on location. The application form is available online or on paper. Our Simcoe/Muskoka Region services are available by referral only through our hospital and shelter partners.
Types of Services

One-on-One Services
When people want to change the direction of their lives, we’re there. We believe in offering the right support, at the right time. We offer a range of personalized services, tailored to individual needs, goals, and demographic. We also help connect our clients with other community, social, and healthcare services and resources.
When someone comes to LOFT, an in-depth discussion about their needs (housing, a doctor, or a psychiatrist) takes place. A plan is developed in a collaborative manner to ensure the client is comfortable. and in control. This takes place at a LOFT location or a place of the clients’ choosing.
Depending on the complexity of needs, a person can be client for months, years, or a lifetime.
Outreach Services
We work with various partners to deliver comprehensive services to individuals on the streets and in shelters within the Greater Toronto Area. A team of public health workers and mental health specialists provide community outreach, housing assistance, medical and addictions care, financial support, and more.

Group Support
All our programs are designed to help create social connections, which can greatly improve quality of life for our clients. By incorporating group or peer support into each of our programs, we’re helping clients build community and mutual support that will last long after our services are no longer needed.
Specialized Support
We’re proud to offer unique and innovative programs to meet the diverse needs of our community. We welcome people from every race, religion, ethnicity, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Tailored programs include support in managing HIV, gender transition, legal/justice cases – on top of managing their mental illness, addiction, and/or financial challenges.
