The Bradford House Redevelopment Project

Providing Accessible Senior Care at the Right Time and Place

Our new and expanded Bradford House will provide supportive housing to seniors and older adults in York Region and Simcoe County.

At Bradford House, we offer housing and a unique mix of customized support to seniors and adults who are struggling with mental and physical health challenges, substance use, poverty, behavioural challenges, and homelessness.

Despite our best efforts, the demand for our services is overwhelming. We’ve been operating at full capacity for over a decade, with a growing waitlist. Currently, there are 49 individuals waiting for housing, with an additional 23 pending assessment.

Our new property, located at 31 Frederick Street, will replace our house on Barrie Street with a larger and more accessible facility. The building will double our current capacity, housing 99 seniors, each in their own separate unit. 30 percent of the units will be fully accessible, featuring larger doorways and hallways, lower counters, and barrier-free washrooms. The housing will cater to our residents’ physical and mental health needs, with all necessary services provided within the building.

The new Bradford House is slated to open its doors in early 2026, and we invite you to become a part of this endeavor. Expanding is not just about creating more space but also about finding solutions to Ontario’s most pressing healthcare and social challenges. With your support we can create a place where more seniors and older adults can call home.
