Vision, Mission and Values

Our vision and mission drive the work we do every day.

OUR VISION:

Together, we can all live successfully in our community.

OUR MISSION:

To help people achieve their optimal health and well-being in the community, LOFT offers unwavering support and hope.

We value accountability, excellence, proactivity, leadership, adaptability, respect and inclusiveness.

LOFT is a values-driven organization with a deep belief that each person has the ability to grow and change and that each person deserves the opportunity to do so. LOFT embraces the individual needs and aspirations of each client and encourages the development of communities of mutual support within our programs to enable each client to attain his or her potential.

LOFT takes risks to reach out to those most in need, including people with multiple challenges who are often considered hard-to-serve and too often fall through the cracks as a result. We believe we make our best contribution to the community when we not only continue to provide our core services, but also identify gaps in existing services and develop programs to reach out to people who cannot get the help they need.

LOFT takes a Recovery-Based Approach, which means we believe that each client can set his or her own goals and be empowered to make their own choices and change the direction their lives have taken. Our programs create communities of mutual support which foster hope and independence. Within each LOFT program, residents develop powerful relationships with peers and caregivers. As they build support networks, they also make meaningful decisions impacting their daily lives.

LOFT clients become part of a community where they are accepted without judgment. They are offered supports but their choices remain their own, and their housing provides safety, security and a sense of belonging. If someone has felt excluded or different, finding acceptance in a LOFT group can be a powerful therapy. LOFT is a place for recovery and growth within a supportive community.
