The pandemic has brought new meaning to the term “home for the holidays.” So this year, to ensure everyone’s health and safety, our annual Home for the Holidays Benefit Concert moves online.
This year, we’ll be celebrating 30 years of a benefit that helps make LOFT’s work possible – promoting recovery and independence for people coping with complex mental health difficulties, dementia, substance use issues, physical health challenges, and homelessness.
Our Home for the Holidays Concert is our signature fundraising event and an important opportunity to showcase the incredible impact of our community and the urgent need for your ongoing support. This year you will have the opportunity to make a special holiday donation alongside your ticket purchase, which will go to work straight away helping LOFT offer compassion and unwavering support to the most vulnerable people.
Your $50 ticket will provide you with access to enjoy this year’s concert from the comfort and safety of your home. This is a pre-recorded event with performances from talented Canadian artists this will be a beautiful celebration that is not to be missed.

“When I first came to the program I can say I never shopped for groceries… With the help of the staff and the mandatory life skills workshop with a food nutritionist, I learned how to grocery shop and meal prep effectively… The life skills that I acquired truly prepared me to live by myself comfortably.” – Justin
Access to food has become a very real challenge for our clients…
LOFT has redeployed staff and adapted quickly to meet the changing needs for thousands of people throughout our communities. In York Region, we have increased our work with the Outreach Van in our Crosslinks program and in a number of Toronto Community Housing buildings we’ve started providing cooked meals from our other LOFT locations to ensure no one is left hungry. The team has also organized multiple ongoing food bank drop-offs for clients who are elderly and at high risk, don’t have transportation or are overwhelmed with anxiety and cannot stand in line to be able to access formal food banks.
This commitment to turning on a dime in unprecedented times extended to all LOFT programs and all of our clients; like Justin at our Beverley Lodge program.
LOFT offers compassion and unwavering support to the most vulnerable people … but we can’t do it without you. This holiday season, please give a gift that ensures folks like Justin can continue to access essential services at LOFT.
The $50 digital ticket goes directly towards helping our clients. With your ticket, you and your loved ones will enjoy a private one-time-only event with premiere Canadian talent, while helping LOFT showcase the incredible impact of our work in the community to new audiences. It is very important to us that everyone is able to celebrate the season together while keeping everyone safe giving new meaning to (staying) “home for the holidays”.
Yes! We are thrilled to be able to mail everyone who purchases a concert ticket a special 30th anniversary edition of our Home for the Holidays Concert Program. Inside you will enjoy performer bios, inspiring stories from LOFT’s clients, a historical tribute to concerts past, and much more!
Your concert program will act as your ticket to the event. It will be mailed to you on or before Dec. 1st (and emailed as a PDF after that date). Your program will include your password and private link needed to view this year’s special event.
Per CRA regulations, you will not receive a tax receipt for the value of your ticket. However, if you make a special holiday gift in addition to your ticket purchase, your donation will be receipted for 100% of the donation amount. If you are not able to join us for the concert this year, I hope you will still consider making a tax-deductible holiday gift here: www.loftcs.org/Holiday
Your gift will help LOFT’s programs and services in providing compassionate and unwavering support to the most vulnerable members of our community with basic needs like food, housing, mental health supports and more. With the ongoing pandemic, we are even more determined to serve our clients with dignity and compassion and ensure all receive compassionate and unwavering support to live a dignified life.
