The Mental Health Commission of Canada was formed in 2008 as a catalyst for improving the mental health system and changing the attitudes and behaviours of Canadians. Lori Kerr, Program Director for LOFT’s Crosslinks Housing and Support Services in York Region, represents LOFT on a working group that piloted a training program to help eliminate stigma within hospitals and social services organizations. They produced this two-part video, now being distributed across Canada by the MHCC.
McEwan Housing and Support Services presents “Confronting Stigma”, a series of videos conceived, filmed, acted and produced by members of the McEwan community, talking about the challenges they face and the stigma they have experienced. McEwan has produced five videos to date; two are shared here.
