St. Anne's Place

Since 1968, St. Anne's Place has served as a seniors' residence in the West End of Toronto. LOFT took over its operations in September 2000.

In addition to providing affordable housing for seniors, St. Anne's also provides supportive housing services which include assistance with personal care, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, and social supports to seniors.

LOFT began a major renovation of St. Anne's Place in early May 2001, which included adding kitchen facilities to each of St. Anne's 110 residential units (22 one-bedroom and 88 studio units), addressing wheelchair accessibility and other physical upgrades to the building, including its social space. The changes provide seniors with the independence to do cooking on their own, as well as enhancing their overall sense of living in a supportive community.
