Ingles House

Ingles House provides recovery and support services to young women with serious substance abuse issues by providing a supportive atmosphere with strong peer support, where residents break with their old life style and develop new skills. The young women at Ingles are encouraged to build an abstinence support network, link with community resources, and prepare for education and employment in the community.

Ingles House is the only high-support residence in Toronto serving women aged 16-24, with residents being referred to it from various addiction treatment centres, hospitals, shelters and Children's Aid. While they live at Ingles House, the women attend high school or college, are employed, of are involved in day treatment programs.

The program provides an atmosphere in which these youth, who are committed to recovery from substance abuse, can be empowered to realize their full health potential in body, mind and spirit by living in a supportive, non-violent, alcohol and drug-free environment.
