Beverley Lodge
Beverley Lodge provides residential support programs for young men, aged 14-18, who are referred to it because of family breakdown, homelessness, substance abuse or serious emotional conflict issues. The program also includes three semi-independent residences for 15 youth. Up to 20 additional youth are supported in the general community. The young men who come to Beverley Lodge are referred from a variety of places- hostels, Children's Aid Societies, families, various youth services and the court system. A number of the youth also come from different parts of the world.
The ultimate goal of the program is to provide the skills that will allow these young men to function as independent members of society. The program works with these youth to improve their skills in the areas of employment and schooling and encourages them to stabilize their lives and family relationships.
The success rate of Beverley Lodge is high, with over 80% of its graduates going on to employment and permanent housing.
