Crosslinks Seniors Housing and Support Services was established in September, 2008, to respond to the needs of a largely under-served population of at-risk seniors living in the Jane and Finch area of Toronto.
It is an innovative partnership between LOFT, Toronto Community Housing Corporation and Downsview Services for Seniors, with each partner contributing resources and expertise. The program is based in a large TCHC apartment building in the Jane and Finch area, where it serves 50 seniors. From here, community support teams take the program’s services to an additional 80 seniors living in other nearby buildings.
Crosslinks Seniors Housing and Support Services offers practical support for daily living for clients with mental and physical health and addiction challenges, social isolation, abuse and abandonment. The program offers acceptance, support and community building in a non-judgemental environment.
