College View Supportive Housing Services serves the needs of vulnerable and at-risk seniors living in a high-rise apartment building in downtown Toronto.
We provide 24-hour on-site staffing, and a range of services from personal care and light housekeeping to crisis and emergency intervention. LOFT also offers congregate dining in the dining room at College View, a service that is critical to the health and well-being of many of the residents.
The program serves a diverse ethno-cultural group of seniors, nearly half of whom are of Chinese origin. Our services have been adapted to meet these culturally specific needs and College View makes a point of having Mandarin and Cantonese speaking staff on duty at all times.
College View Supportive Housing Services is a partnership with the Toronto Community Housing Corporation, who own the building.
Our goal is to provide support with the activities of daily living and to help residents connect with community resources and one another, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity, and to age in place.
